This publishing offered a survey of the industries financial performance as a whole, and the
performance of each of the competitors individually. Some strengths and weaknesses of the
industry were also pointed out in the reading. The outlook for the future of the industry as well
as the outlook for the future of each of the competitors was also offered in the publishing.

This industry survey had much information concerning the Automobile Parts and Accessories
Industry. The information included the stock performance of the industry, some strengths
and weaknesses of the industry, and what the outlook of the industry in the future is.

This industry review concentrated mainly on the stock performance of the industry. There
were breakdowns of the individual companies success in areas such as profitability, amount
sold comparatively, performance over the past few years, and the outlook for the industry
in the future.

The author in this passage discusses the fact that some automakers are joining
together to try to improve on some common problems that they are facing. These
problems range from increased costs to losing market share.

The rising steel prices are hurting manufacturers through increased costs, lower
profitability, and the overall strain of maintaining an ideal market share.
Piscopink, John (2004). Automotive Crisis Management Process Could Save Millions.
AIAG.org (Automotive Industry Action Group).
The author discusses how the AIAG is implementing a crisis management plan to
help combat the numerous problems that power outages are causing in the auto
industry. Once implemented, the plan can save the industry millions of dollars
that would otherwise be wasted.

This press release concerns a joint venture by BorgWarner in Korea. This
venture further illustrates the fact that many auto parts manufacturers are looking
internationally for the most profitable opportunities.

This site deals exclusively with the trends of the auto industry. Through
thorough analysis of industry trends, the auto industry is expected to have
a mild increase in sales volume in the coming year.

An industry report in 2004 shows that BorgWarner has increased its profitability.
This illustrates the fact that the auto industry is improving and that there may be
more opportunities for profits still to come.

This site displays the relationship between different industries and how they
compare to one another. The auto industry has shown the ability to sustain good
performance ratings compared to other industries.

Through this site one is able to compare particular auto parts manufacturers with
their direct competitors. The main organizations competing in this industry are
BorgWarner Inc., Dana Corp., Delphi Corp., and Eaton Corp. This site shows a
comparison of the performance of each of these competitors, and allows one to
view which competitor is on the rise and which competitor is falling off the pace.
Rotenberk, Lori (2003). Auto Parts Industry Stalls, costing jobs. The Boston Globe.
The author discusses the fact that the auto parts industry has had some problems as of late,
and she mentions the fact that a number of jobs have been lost to overseas competition.

All four of these sites contain valuable information dealing with the auto parts industry. They are all direct competitors of one another. I used BWA and ETN for specific entries, but all of the sites were useful in giving further insight into the industry.
